Courtney Daniel

Courtney is the Co Founder and food lover/head cook in the kitchen. She has her background in marketing and has worked in both agencies and corporate marketing since 2018, but her love and interest for food dates back even further. She’s always been interested not just in creating food that tastes good, but understanding the why behind flavor compounds and how certain chemicals react with the body. In her free time you can catch her playing with her dog, reading, or watching soccer.

Alyssa Isenhour

Alyssa is the Co Founder and product manager for Mane Stay Market. She has been working in the retail industry since she was 16 and has held leadership roles at several major companies. In her free time you can find her snuggled up with the dog, crocheting, or checking her sewing pattern “just one more time.”

What is a 2:1 Velvet Syrup?

A 2:1 "rich" syrup is made with two parts sugar to one part water, resulting in a thicker, smoother texture compared to regular 1:1 simple syrup. This higher sugar concentration gives it a velvety mouthfeel that adds body and extend the shelf life. Because it’s sweeter, you need to use less. Talk about a savings! We recommend 1/2 to 3/4oz pours, but measure with your heart. Always refrigerate after opening for best results.
